Course Objectives 🎯: Introduce basic mindfulness and deep breathing techniques. 🧘‍♂️ Help participants notice and release any tension in their bodies. 💆‍♀️ Encourage awareness and understanding of their own emotions. 🌈 Use visualization to create a sense of calm and focus. 🌌 Course Structure 🏛️: Introduction: Welcome, session overview, and benefits of mindfulness. Centering and Grounding: Quick body scan to relax and feel present. Breathing Exercise: Teach and practice simple deep breathing. Tracking Feeling: Reflect on current emotions and how they feel in the body. Visualization and Mindful Breathing: Imagine a peaceful place and continue deep breathing. Closing and Reflection: Final check-in, optional sharing, and gratitude. Who Should Attend 🎓: This class is perfect for young people who want to learn how to relax, feel better, and understand their feelings. No prior experience with mindfulness is needed. Materials Needed 🛋️: Comfortable seating (chair, yoga mat, or floor cushion) Quiet space Instructor🧘‍♀️: Dr. Megan Dadez is a licensed Occupational Therapist with seven years of clinical experience. Her expertise has enabled her to acquire skillful, research-based techniques proven to aid in mind and body relaxation.
